We are the Communications Workers of America Local 1109. With over 3,400 members in Suffolk County and Brooklyn, New York, we are the highest trained, professional and hardest working telecommunications technicians and customer service representatives in the region. We are more than just a union, we are homeowners, taxpayers and community volunteers that care about our neighbors, our communities and our customers. We believe in workplace safety, so that our members make it home to their families at the end of each day. We work tirelessly, through hail, rain and snow, holidays and hurricanes, to keep Brooklyn and Suffolk County plugged into the rest of the world.
