UCOMM Media Group is excited to announce that we have added Utility Workers Union of America Local 601 in Woodbridge, NJ to our list of growing UCOMM clients. Local 601 is our 1st union within the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) and our 3rd client in the Garden State. "We instantly hit it off," says Kris LaGrange. "They are a membership who is hungry to get the word out, with a youthful leadership and this may seem like an odd thing to say - but they have one of the coolest union halls I have ever seen." UWUA 601 made up of 1,250 hardworking Meter Readers, Field Collectors, Call Center and Customer Service Reps at PSEG NJ and the NJ Transit. After building their image and video library, Local 601 will be receiving a new and improved high resolution mobile friendly website designed to be viewed on tablets, and smartphones. Some of the features we are planning on implementing include a calendar of events, an electronic newsletter, the posting of important union information and news, a photo gallery to view photographs from union events and the members at work and RSS feeds of news from around the New Jersey and American Labor Movement. In addition, 601 will be using blast text messaging, social network support and communications consultation. "This is a union that sought us out and we are so happy we can be of service. Their President, Noel Christmas has a good handle on what his members need to succeed and we are so proud to be part of that plan," added LaGrange.
