We are happy to announce that the Long Island Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO has retained UCOMM to help them modernize their already effective communications structure. The Long Island Fed becomes our 3rd Labor council and is the fourth largest concentration of union members in the continental United States. The Long island Fed is an extremely active organization providing much-needed support to its affiliates. They not only help out on the legislative and political front but they often focus on getting bodies to demonstrations. We are excited to help them communicate the unity union message to Long Island union households and the general public. A new mobile-friendly website is planned for launch with a digest style public newsletter, tracking of local media, and when needed media consultation and campaign messaging. "This is the perfect fit for us because in addition to having worked for this organization, I know its culture and function. We currently work for 11 of its affiliates and have worked with 4 former clients that are part of their organization. So we already have on hand a rich image library to build from'" says Kris LaGrange. UCOMM manages social media for the organization and also works with the LI Fed leadership to produce a monthly podcast in our state-of-the-art A/V studio.
